Deafening Silence

If you missed the entire speech that Benjamin Netanyahu gave to the 70th U.N. General Assembly this morning you need to watch it. You need to watch it all!  It was without a doubt the best speech I have EVER heard given at the UN ( and this is a week where the Pope, President Obama and Mohamoud Abbas have all delivered some eloquent oratory.)

I would like to point out that Samantha Power, the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, or John Kerry the Secretary of State were ,shamefully, not present for the speech of the of our foremost allies and the only real democracy in the Middle East. The US members who were in attendance  sat stone faced and were not clapping when Netanyahu stated that “rewarding Bad Behavior only make’s that behavior worse” as he listed a long rap sheet of Iranian support of international terrorism, very bad quotes and worse behavior even after the Nuclear Agreement was struck. Facts ARE very stubborn things:

While I stand in support of Israel and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and hope that you do as well, I would like to caution  Prime Minister Netanyahu about succumbing to pressure to divide the Land and return to negotiations for a Two-State “Solution” with Palestine. I should like to remind the Israeli PM that in Leviticus 25:23 The Lord gives Moses some specifics about this Promised Land :” The land shall not be sold forever; for the land is mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with me.”

The Lord makes it very clear that the Land is HIS.  While there are many, many, many verses ( Amos 9:15, Joshua 1:3, Josh 1:10, Gen 13: 14-17 just to name a few) that state clearly that this land is their inheritance for ever….the fact remains that the Lord is the Divine Deed holder on the Promised land they do not have the legal right to divide the land.  Nor should we, the United States, be involved in ANY way with political or societal pressure for Israel to give back land, divide the land, forfeit any territory or restrict their building on their own land.  Genesis 12:1-2 Promises to bless those that Bless Israel and Curse those that don’t.  It is a cautionary warning that we should all believe and wholeheartedly heed.

Thanks, Sally for the link to Netanyahu’s speech to the UN.
Just a reminder that this coming Sunday, October 4th is the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem. “Each and every person in the Body of Christ can now be part of the strategic and historic Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem on Sunday, praying for His Holy City Jerusalem, for His Land Israel, and for ALL who live there – Jewish, Arab, and all others.”

So eye-opening! Interesting we never saw Network News coverage of this speech. We need to keep our eyes on Israel for sure and vote people into office who will ally with them. .
